The natural journey of Dorset contemporary artist, Laura Evans
Laura thoroughly enjoys working on lampshade commissions, having many clients within Dorset and further afield. Laura gives a personal service, with visits to the home with custom-made fabric samples and examples of her designs. She prides herself on making sure the item is bespoke to them and fits in perfectly with their vision for their home. From renovating existing lamp bases, designing, making new lamp bases and hand printing new shades. She offers a comprehensive deigns service throughout the process for each client’s needs.
The summer months will see her working on her new upholstery designs, inspired by wildlife, birds, bees and insects and planning her handprinted Christmas Dorset Gift Crackers, which she launched last year and were a huge success. She is currently working with local furniture maker David Ralls on designs for footstools for her fabric and hopes to launch these in the winter months.
Feel free to visit Laura in her new studio inside the Picture Frame Workshop, situated in the picturesque town of Wareham. The shop is perfectly placed only a stone’s throw from Wareham’s famous Quay.
