What’s is like living at Sunnyside?

When I moved into the bungalow the first thing that I noticed was silence of the garden. All you can hear is birds. It’s a cul de sac with quiet friendly neighbours and backing onto the farm. There really is no traffic noise at all.

It’s walking distance from local shops, The Crab House restaurant, Taste cafe, Billy Winters Beach Bar and Castle Cove Sailing Club. Daniels Fish and Chips are good. There’s a lovely walk across the farm and along the fleet, which passes alpacas and horses grazing in the fields which gets you to The Crab House in 20 minutes. Highly recommended by Rick Stein no less!

Wyke is a friendly place and far enough away from the town to be peaceful even in the school holidays. I loved being only a bike ride away from Chesil Beach, where you can find Quiddles and The Cove House, both great for a drink or some food while you watch the sun set.

At the next set of lights go straight across and up the hill taking the 2nd right into Wyke Road. Follow the road into Wyke Regis and past All Saints Church on your left, take the next left into All Saints Road. Follow the road straight through Wyke Square bearing right then take the left into High Street. Turn right into West Bay Crescent and at the end of the road turn left into Westhill Road. Continue along this road and Ryemead Lane can be found at the bottom of the hill on the right hand side of this no through lane. Sunnyside is on your right hand side.
